Narcissus Absolute is another oil with a centuries old tradition.
The absolute is obtained from the flowers.
A sweet green herbaceous odour with heavy floral undertones.
Roman perfumers used 'narcissum' from narcissus flowers when making their complex perfumes.
Dilute in a carrier oil before skin application. Keep away from children and out of eyes. Do not take internally or apply undiluted to the skin. For further advice on using essential oils to treat medical conditions, we recommend you seek advice from a professional.

'The name derives from the Greek narkao - to be numb - becauise of its narcotic properties. The Roman perfumers used 'narcissum', a solid unguent made from narcissus flowers, in the preparation of their elaborate fragrances. In India the oil is applied to the body before prayer in temples, along with rose, sandalwood and jasmine. The Arabians recommend the oil as cure for baldness, and as an aphrodisiac.' - an excerpt from 'Complete Essential Oils' by Julia Lawless.
