'I often use Clove, Orange and Cinnamon together to make a wonderful winter frgrance that smells like a traditional pomander at the same time as giving some protection against winter epidemic'. - an excerpt from Aromatherapy an A - Z by Patricia Davis.

'Clove bud is analgesic, antispasmodic and stimulating. It raises blood pressure. Check for skin irritation. Used in tradional medicine for alleviating toothache. Used in many modern pharmaceuticals. The aroma is strong and spicy.' - an excerpt from The Essential Blending Guide by Rosemary Caddy.

'Clove is traditionally associated with relief of toothache due to its numbing effect. It is obtained from the flower buds of a small Madagascan evergreen tree and is best administered by a qualified Aromatherapist for uses other than inhalation.' - an excerpt from Aromatherapy Stress Management by Christine Westwood.
