Helpful information for Chinese customers before placing an order

News Content:

If you are a UK business based in the UK you will have to pay UK VAT even if you are having the goods shipped overseas. If your business is based in China or Hong Kong you will not have to pay UK VAT as long as your primary business account address is China or Hong Kong and not a UK address.

We are unable at present to ship goods direct to China due to the inconsistency of Chinese Customs Regulations. They seem to require different documentation every time we try and export our products to China.

Some of our customers in China are having us deliver to their choice of freight forwarders in Hong Kong, which we are happy to do if you want to arrange for them to ship the goods into China on your behalf. This becomes your own responsibility once your freight forwarder has received the goods. You may want to speak with your freight forwarder in Hong Kong to discuss your options. Alternatively we can ship to a UK freight forwarder of your choice, but we will need a proof of shipping certificate and/or an air waybill that includes our invoice number as soon as the goods have been shipped, then you will not have to pay UK VAT, but failure to send this in due time will result in us sending you an invoice for the VAT. Please make sure your freight forwarder is aware of this.

Please be aware that we cannot ship any product classed as flammable goods if China is the final destination. Please click on ‘overseas order’ link at top of page for information on flammable goods.

We do have a minimum order requirement of £500.00GBP plus postage for all orders destined for China.

Postage can only be calculated and finalised once we receive your order and have discussed it with you. Please place your order online via our wholesale website. You will need to register with us before placing an order. When you register, please do not put your freight forwarders address as the delivery address. Please put your own delivery address in China. You can give us your freight forwarders address in the comments box when you go to the checkout. When you visit the checkout on completion of your order you will be prompted to fill in some information. Please follow this carefully. When you get to the shipping method section, just choose either method and just ignore it and continue as normal. You will not be charged the amount shown unless it is agreed in a later email. On the next section ‘Add Comments about Your Order’ you can add any instructions you wish to inform us, including adding any items that you require that are out of stock and your freight forwarders name, address and telephone number if you choose. Then continue checkout procedure.

When you get to the Payment method you have two choices. You can either choose to make payment by secure credit card payment or Fax or phone through your credit card details. If you enter your credit card details you will not be charged automatically. We always check the order and take payment manually when we are satisfied the order details are complete and final. Please be aware that we do not actually see the credit card details as this is managed by our secure payment service, so if you need to add other items out of stock to the comments box it will be best to fax us your card details as we are unable to take 10% more than the order total without asking for your credit card details by fax. If you want to add other items to your order that are out of stock we will always send you a new quote before your payment is taken. If you choose to Fax or phone through your credit card details you can continue with the order to the end. It is always best to let us know by email if you are sending a fax. Otherwise telephone your payment details if you prefer. The other alternative is to pay by bank transfer, details of which are available upon request. You will then need to tick the ‘Fax or phone through your credit card details’ button and continue as normal. We are unable to dispatch until we receive payment and it takes about 4 working days for a bank transfer to appear in our account.

When you reach the end of your order you will see a message ‘Please press continue to confirm this order!’ You need to press the continue button at the bottom of the page. You will then be sent an order number to your email address. Please state this order number in all correspondence regarding your order.

Please note: Once an order has been submitted to us, we will not normally accept any additions as this makes our job very difficult and takes up a lot of time. This helps us to keep costs down and our prices to a minimum. Please make sure you have ordered everything you need before Completing.

Larger orders usually take a couple of days to complete as one person is assigned to your order. Very large orders (Over 1000.00GBP) could take anything between 3 and 10 working days to complete. If anything is out of stock we normally have it back in stock within 10 working days. Please order well in advance and take in these considerations.

When ordering creams and gels, we pack in boxes of 12 and we can get 6 boxes of 12 in an outer box. It would be helpful to us if you could order in multiples of 12. We have a section on bulk creams and gels which you can order in multiples of 72 if you need larger amounts. You can order these even if it shows they are out of stock.
