Extraction Description	Scent Description
The volatile oil obtained by steam distillation of the freshly cut flowering tops of the herb.	Sweet floral-herbaceous scent and balsamic undertone.

General Description

Lavender English Grown. The most versatile and useful oil. It relaxes and soothes the mind & body. Can be used neat on wounds & burns, as long as the skin is not broken. Number 1 for use in first aid kit at home. Can be used as a massage, in vaporizer, bath preparations, and on the pillow last thing at night to help promote sleep Lavender has an abundance of uses: Insect repellent, scents linen and deters moths. Can be useful for dandruff, when added to a base shampoo. Added to a carrier oil it can be used in massage to help with PMT. Neutralises insect bites and stings (bees, wasps, mosquitoes and nettlerash).

Properties

Antiseptic, antibacterial, soothing, relaxing, calming.

Safety

DILUTE TO 5% OR LESS IN A CARRIER OIL BEFORE SKIN APPLICATION. KEEP OUT OF EYES. DO NOT SWALLOW.
